St. Augustine Lighthouse
You can see the St. Augustine Lighthouse from all over Anastasia Island, which is probably why it becomes one of those landmarks you stop noticing until somebody visits from out of town. Then you look at it again and remember how strange and beautiful it really is.
The lighthouse is more than a view from the road. The grounds, maritime history, keeper stories and climb to the top make this one of the places worth giving real time instead of treating it as a quick photo stop. And yes, those stairs are every bit as real as they look.
A guide-written story for this place is coming soon.
