Mission Nombre de Dios

Mission Nombre de Dios sits on one of the quietest and most beautiful pieces of waterfront in the city, which can make it easy to forget how much history is associated with the site.

This is sacred ground for many visitors, not simply another attraction, so it deserves to be treated that way. Even if you are visiting primarily for the history, slow down. Walk the grounds, look out over the water and give the place more time than a quick stop for a photograph of the Great Cross.
