Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center
The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center fills the former Excelsior High School — built in 1924 as St. Johns County’s first public high school for Black students — in the heart of the Lincolnville neighborhood. Established in 2003, the museum tells the story of Lincolnville and of St. Augustine’s pivotal role in the 1964 civil rights movement. The landmarks below trace that history across the city.
