Flagler College

Flagler College might be the prettiest college campus you ever wander into by accident. Its centerpiece began life as Henry Flagler’s Hotel Ponce de Leon, the grand Gilded Age hotel that helped change both St. Augustine and Florida tourism.

The building still looks extravagant because it was supposed to. Towers, courtyards, murals, stained glass and architectural details are everywhere. It is an active college rather than a frozen historic site, which somehow makes the whole thing more interesting.
