The St. Augustine Amphitheatre: The AMP

There are concert venues, and then there are places where the music sounds different because of where you are. The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is the second kind. The St. Augustine Amphitheatre, known simply as The AMP, is a 16-acre outdoor amphitheatre located just across the Intracoastal Waterway from St. Augustine. As a performing arts venue that can hold just under 5,000 concertgoers, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre plays host to big-name musical acts across every genre. The setting does something to the experience. Spanish moss, warm Florida nights, the smell of salt air drifting in from the coast - it is a backdrop that makes every performance feel like an event rather than just a show. Artists who have played here include Billy Strings, Santana, James Taylor, John Fogerty, Foreigner, Dwight Yoakam, Blues Traveler, and dozens of others across rock, country, folk, bluegrass, and Americana. Tickets sell fast. Some shows go before the ink is dry. More Than Concerts The AMP is not just a concert venue. Throughout the year, guests can enjoy local bands at the Front Porch near the entrance and smaller concerts in the Backyard - casual, fun venues where guests can mingle and dance to tunes. Head to the amphitheatre any Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm for the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Farmers Market, featuring fresh produce, baked goods, hand-crafted items, and plants. On select Tuesdays from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, the Night Market is a local favorite with handmade arts, crafts, food trucks, a full bar, and live music. The Sing Out Loud Festival in September turns The AMP and the surrounding area into St. Augustine's biggest music weekend of the year, with multiple free and ticketed events across the city. Parking Paid onsite parking is available at the Amphitheatre Main Lot for $20.00 per spot, purchasable online via Ticketmaster or at the Box Office. Free satellite parking is available at RB Hunt Elementary School Soccer Field and Anastasia State Park, both within one mile of the venue. Free shuttle services run continuously beginning 45 minutes before gates open and for 45 minutes after the event. Getting Tickets Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and the venue box office. The box office is open Monday through Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. For big shows, buy early. Very early.
