Switzerland

Switzerland, Florida, has no Alps and very little reason to be confused with the country. It does, however, occupy a beautiful stretch of northwestern St. Johns County near the St. Johns River.

This is residential, river-oriented country rather than historic-district tourism. If your trip brings you to this side of the county, think boats, parks, neighborhoods and easy access to both Jacksonville and St. Augustine rather than horse carriages and Spanish colonial streets.
