Hastings

Drive southwest out of the tourist version of St. Augustine and eventually the landscape starts opening into fields. That is Hastings country.

This is the agricultural side of St. Johns County, historically tied to vegetable farming and especially potatoes. Hastings is not a resort town pretending to be rural. It is a real farming community with its own history, old Florida character and a completely different pace from downtown St. Augustine.
